Sharing your love of the earth with your children
Cycle of Life brings together great music, great art, and loads of creative and practical ideas for helping the environment by doing something as simple as recycling beverage containers and composting. It’s easier (and more fun) than you think! It is education with impact, and its drawing rave reviews from across Canada. What parents are saying about Cycle of Life.
This pioneering program includes:
Cycle of Life CD

Educator’s Handbooks
Beautifully illustrated companions to the CDs, written by talented teams of authors, with contributions from a veritable ‘who’s who’ of environmental education. You don’t have to be a teacher to use these handbooks. They provide kids with interesting activities in science, social studies, music, language arts and social responsibility that are connected to song lyrics, and fulfill prescribed learning outcomes. Both Cycle of Life/Recycle and Salish Sea handbooks are “Provincially Recommended” by the BC Ministry of Education. Great resources for home schoolers! More about the handbooks.

Our website is designed to help parents, children and educators learn more about sustainability. It provides support to the handbook and school programs. Kids love discovering how they can help endangered species, and parents appreciate having an entertaining online resource that helps teach kids about the environment. Voices of Nature School Program
The Voices of Nature School Program involves young singers, teachers and schools in British Columbia, Alberta and Quebec. Parent Advisory Committees (PACs) often provide funding to bring the Voices of Nature School Program to their community. Teachers use Cycle of Life learning resources to engage in activities linked to song lyrics, sometimes in support of school-wide environmental themes.
Children learn songs, and perform them in concerts for their families and friends. These concerts often take place in theatres, where the children perform along with professional musicians, and are the highlight of the school year. School choirs are recorded and appear on a variety of CDs, which the school may choose to sell to recover program costs. More about the school program.
