(ART) is committed to protecting the privacy of website visitors, and therefore meets the requirements of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Document Act (PIPEDA). Information collected for business transactions may be classified as business information and therefore not subject to PIPEDA regulation. This page summarizes the privacy policy and terms of use of the Cycle of Life website.

The website does not automatically gather any private information from web visitors, other than the publicly available IP address that is part of every web page view, and is logged by the server for statistical purposes. This address is not linked to your identity and will not be used for tracking except where damage to this site or server is attempted. This website does not normally use a "cookie" to record information.

If you choose to send personal information to the Cycle of Life project or ART, it is protected under the federal Act (PIPEDA). Information that you send via email or through a form on this site will be recorded by ART for the purposes of fulfilling your request or providing information about the Cycle of Life program and about the Canadian Artist Response Team and to further the objectives of the Canadian Artist Response Team and Holly Arntzen. These records are limited to access by approved staff and members of the Canadian Artist Response Team, its contractors and accounting professionals and Holly Arntzen, and will not be disclosed to any other company or person outside of Canadian Artist Response Team, its contractors and accounting professionals, and Holly Arntzen. Personal data is not retained on this Web server.

In the case of financial transactions, you will supply, and the Canadian Artist Response Team and its financial agents will record, the information necessary to fulfill your order, transact your payment with banks, charge card companies and or payment clearing services, ship and receive your product(s) with couriers and/or warehouses, and to provide receipts and the required reporting. Purchase records will be held securely by Canadian Artist Response Team and/or filed with Canadian Artist Response Team accountants and/or provincial and federal government agencies for reporting of tax and revenues, for the length of time and as required by law.
